From Ramaa Mosley, the writer-director of 2013's darkly comic fable "The Brass Teapot," comes a character-driven mystery-thriller about a female soldier who returns home from war, only to have her life plagued by strange, inexplicable occurrences after discovering a mysterious boy in the woods.

Check out the official trailer for Mosley's "Lost Child," which stars Leven Rambin (from "The Hunger Games " and the HBO thriller "True Detective: Season 2") as Fern, a war veteran who, after serving 12 years in the army, returns home to the Ozarks, a small rural region in Missouri, where she tries to reconnect with her younger brother, only to befriend a young abandoned boy (played by newcomer Landon Edwards) who may or may not be the human embodiment of a life-draining folkloric demon, known locally as the Tatterdemalion.

Co-starring Jim Parrack (True Blood) and Taylor John Smith (Sharp Objects), "Lost Child" -- which was formerly titled "Tatterdemalion" and played at several film festivals last year -- will be released in select theaters on September 14th. It will also be made available on VOD and DVD September 18th.
