Actor Keir Gilchrist (It Follows, The United States of Tara) is back to deliver another impressive performance as Sam Gardner, a high-functioning autistic high school senior trying to deal with the unpredictability of teenage life.

Check out the newly-released Season 2 trailer for "Atypical," Netflix's half-hour family dramedy created by Robia Rashid (The Goldbergs, How I Met Your Mother), which also stars Jennifer Jason Leigh and Michael Rapaport as Sam's parents, Elsa and Doug Gardner, and Brigette Lundy-Paine (Downsizing, Action Point) as Sam's younger sister, Casey.

The series follows the Gardner family as they grapple with typical family difficulties and imperfections, while revolving around an autistic teen who is averse to change and has a hard time detecting the subtleties of social interaction and human behavior, yet continues to strive to gain his independence.

Casey Wilson (One Mississippi, Happy Endings) joins this season, playing Sam's new group therapist, while returning cast members include Jenna Boyd, Graham Rogers, Amy Okuda, and Nik Dodani.

"Atypical: Season 2" is set to premiere September 7th on Netflix.
