Chris Pine transforms into a legendary Scottish warrior in the first official trailer for the forthcoming medieval epic "Outlaw King," which will be released both in select theaters and on Netflix in November.

The Netflix original film, which reunites Pine with his "Hell or High Water" director David Mackenzie, tells the "untold, true story" of Robert the Bruce (Pine), a Scottish nobleman who took part in William Wallace's revolt against England. But when Wallace was captured and killed, a defeated Robert the Bruce was reluctantly left to continue the fight to free an English-occupied Scotland, despite only having a very small Scottish army.

"I have 50 men to fight the strongest army in the world," says a battle-weary Robert the Bruce in the trailer. "This is how we do it: take the land back, castle by castle."

In addition to Pine, the cast also includes Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick Ass, Nocturnal Animals) and Tony Curran (Blade II, Syfy's Defiance) as loyal members of Robert the Bruce's army. Up-and-coming English actress Florence Pugh (Lady Macbeth) plays Robert's devoted wife, Elizabeth de Burgh, while Stephen Dillane (aka Stannis Baratheon from HBO's Game of Thrones) and Billy Howle (On Chesil Beach) play the ruthless King Edward 1 and his belligerent son, the Prince of Wales, respectively.

While slated to make its world premiere next month at the Toronto International Film Festival, "Outlaw King" will be simultaneously released in select theaters and on Netflix beginning November 9th. Watch the trailer, above.
