Canadian-born television writer/sketch comedian Rebecca Addelman, whose credits include writing several episodes for the FOX sitcom "New Girl" and the Netflix series "Love," makes her feature directorial and writing debut with "Paper Year," a romantic drama that explores a young couple's first year of marriage.

TV actors Eve Hewson (The Knick) and Avan Jogia (Victorious, Twisted) play young twenty-something newlyweds in the film, which is loosely based on Addelman's own life from her days of trying to break into the entertainment industry as an inexperienced television writer struggling in Los Angeles.

Andie MacDowell (Groundhog Day) and Hamish Linklater (Legion) co-star.

"Paper Year," which has already been released theatrically in Canada, will be made available on Digital and VOD on September 11. Watch the trailer, above.

synopsis:
Franny (Eve Hewson) and Dan (Avan Jogia) are fresh-faced, 22-year old newlyweds playing house and juggling new jobs in Los Angeles. When Franny falls for a coworker, they face the challenges of growing up together.
