When their criminal husbands are suddenly killed during a botched robbery, four widows have no other choice but to band together and carry out a dangerous heist to pay off a mob debt.

Check out the brand-new official trailer for "Widows," the tense heist thriller that comes from acclaimed British filmmaker Steve McQueen -- it's his first feature since directing the Oscar-winning film "12 Years a Slave."

The movie stars Oscar-winner Viola Davis (Fences) as a bereaved woman who -- when threatened by a couple of hired killers (played by Get Out's Daniel Kaluuya and Atlanta's Brian Tyree Henry) who want her to pay off her dead husband's debt -- is forced to lead a group of widows as they attempt to pull off a complicated heist and finish the job their husbands started.

Michelle Rodriguez (Fast and Furious franchise), Elizabeth Debicki (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2), and Tony-winning Broadway actress Cynthia Erivo (The Color Purple: Musical) star as the other three grieving widows.

The cast also includes Colin Farrell and Robert Duvall with appearances by Liam Neeson, Jon Bernthal, and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as the dead criminal husbands.

"Widows" is based on the book and the 1980s British television series of the same name by acclaimed British writer Lynda La Plante, who is also the creator/writer of the long-running detective series "Prime Suspect."

Adapted for the big screen by McQueen and "Gone Girl" writer Gillian Flynn, "Widows" is coming to theaters November 16th.
