Danny McBride becomes increasingly desperate in the official trailer for the dark kidnapping comedy "Arizona."

Set against the 2009 housing crisis, "Arizona" stars Rosemarie DeWitt (La La Land, Black Mirror: Arkangel) as a successful real estate agent and single mother of a teenage daughter. They are suddenly taken hostage by one of DeWitt's disgruntled clients, a newly divorced family man who's about to lose his home (played by McBride).

But as the day turns into night, McBride's moronic kidnapping character grows frustrated, and frantic. While events unfold erratically, McBride can't help but to spiral down a path of chaos and violence.

Written by TV comedy writer Luke Del Tredici (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, 30 Rock), "Arizona" marks the feature directorial debut of Jonathan Watson, a second unit director and assistant director who previously worked with McBride on the hit HBO comedy series "Vice Principals."

Co-starring Luke Wilson, Kaitlin Olson, and David Alan Grier, "Arizona," which premiered at Sundance this year, is arriving in theaters and VOD August 24th. Watch the trailer, above.

Cassie (Rosemarie DeWitt) is a real estate agent and single mom struggling to keep it all together during the housing crisis of 2009. Her problems go from bad to worse when disgruntled client Sonny (Danny McBride) violently confronts Cassie's boss and then kidnaps Cassie -- making one outrageously bad, and bloody, decision after another.

Things completely spiral out of control in this explosive action comedy, also starring Luke Wilson, Kaitlin Olson, David Alan Grier, and Elizabeth Gillies.
