Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan — Behind-the-Scenes Featurette

Go behind the scenes of Amazon's new highly-anticipated spy series "Jack Ryan," which features A Quiet Place's John Krasinski as the younger version of author Tom Clancy's fictional CIA hero. In this depiction, the Jack Ryan character is just starting out in his CIA career as an office-bound anti-terrorist analyst.

"We're really starting at the very beginning," says Krasinski in the new preview. "So, you meet Jack when he's just at the CIA working on different files and leads. And then he comes across this terror organization, and this opens Jack up into a whole new world."

The eight-episode Amazon thriller -- which also stars Wendell Pierce (Suits, The Wire) as Jack's new boss, CIA deputy director James Greer and Abbie Cornish (Three Billboards...) as Jack's new girlfriend (who, in the Clancy books, becomes his wife) Cathy Mueller -- is executive produced by former "Lost" producers/writers Carlton Cuse and Graham Roland.

Oscar-nominated director Morten Tyldum (The Imitation Game) directs the hour-long premiere of "Jack Ryan," which is due to stream on Amazon Prime later this month, beginning Friday, August 31.

Jack Ryan, an up-and-coming CIA analyst, is thrust into a dangerous field assignment for the first time. He soon uncovers a pattern in terrorist communication that launches him into the center of a dangerous gambit with a new breed of terrorism that threatens destruction on a global scale.
