Amazon has released the first official teaser trailer for Season 2 of the critically acclaimed 1958-set dramedy "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel," which hails from "Gilmore Girls" creator Amy Sherman-Palladino.

Rachel Brosnahan reprises her Golden Globe-winning and Emmy-nominated role of Midge Maisel, a young New York Jewish housewife and mother of two who embarks on a career as a professional stand-up comedian after her cheating husband leaves her for his secretary.

Season 2 will have "the Mad Divorcee of the Upper West Side" taking her off-color comedy act to the most popular Jewish destination in New York: the Catskills -- a hotel resort community where all the great comedians got their first break.

Winner for Best Comedy at the most recent Golden Globes and currently nominated for nine Emmy Awards, the streaming Amazon series has already been greenlit for a third season.

Also starring Alex Borstein, Tony Shalhoub, Kevin Pollak, Marin Hinkle, and Michael Zegen, and written, directed, executive produced by Amy Sherman-Palladino and her husband Daniel Palladino, "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" will return later in the year on Amazon Prime Video.

In 1958 New York, Midge Maisel's life is on track- husband, kids, and elegant Yom Kippur dinners in their Upper West Side apartment. But when her life takes a surprise turn, she has to quickly decide what else she's good at -- and going from housewife to stand-up comic is a wild choice to everyone but her.
