Check out the trailer for "Inventing Tomorrow," an inspirational documentary that follows six brilliant teenage student scientists from around the world -- from Indonesia, Hawaii, India and Mexico -- as they earn the chance to compete in the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF) in Los Angeles, California. It's the largest pre-college scientific research event in the world, considered by many as the Olympics of high school science fairs.

These young finalists -- all under the age of 17 -- are trying to find solutions to emerging environmental threats, which have been plaguing their own neighborhoods back at their respective home countries.

Directed by documentary filmmaker Laura Nix (The Yes Men Are Revolting, The Light in Her Eyes), "Inventing Tomorrow" premiered back in January at the Sundance Film Festival. It's now slated to be released in theaters on August 31st.

synopsis:
Meet passionate teenage innovators from around the globe who are creating cutting-edge solutions to confront the world's environmental threats -- found right in their own backyards -- while navigating the doubts and insecurities that mark adolescence.
