This is the incredible true story of how a group of aging, over-the-hill criminals pulled off one of the biggest robberies in U.K. history, now known as the Hatton Garden robbery.

Check out the new official trailer for "King of Thieves," a darkly comic British heist film that stars 85-year-old Oscar-winner Michael Caine as a grizzled jewel thief who puts a team of seasoned criminals together to break into an underground safe deposit facility in London. But when they managed to steal approximately 200 million dollars worth in jewelry and other valuable items, Caine and his elderly cohorts succumb to backstabbing and infighting, proving that there is, indeed, no honor among thieves.

Playing Caine's criminal partners are Oscar-winner Jim Broadbent, Ray Winstone (The Departed), Tom Courtenay (45 Years), Michael Gambon (the Harry Potter films), and Charlie Cox (star of Marvel's Daredevil).

The film is directed by James Marsh, of the Oscar-winning documentary "Man on Wire," who previously helmed the critically acclaimed Stephen Hawking biopic "The Theory of Everything."

Joe Penhall, the creator of the Netflix series "Mindhunter," wrote the film's screenplay, which is based on a Vanity Fair article.

"King of Thieves" is being released in the U.K. on September 14th. As of yet, there's no official U.S. release date.
