Check out the newly-released trailer for "Love, Gilda," a touching documentary that takes a look at the life and death of legendary Saturday Night Live comedienne Gilda Radner.

Featuring Gilda's personal diary entries as read by some of her biggest fans in comedy (Melissa McCarthy, Bill Hader, Amy Poehler, etc.), the doc offers a moving portrait of a talented comic mind, who not only influenced an entire generation of SNL performers but also was one of the pioneering women in late-night comedy.

With the authorization of the Radner Family Estate, filmmaker Lisa D'Apolito draws from a treasure trove of archival home videos, family photos, personal letters, and recently discovered audiotapes to weave together into a heartfelt biography, which is told in Gilda's own words.

After premiering to strong reviews at this year's Tribeca Film Festival, "Love, Gilda" is now slated for a theatrical release on September 21st, via Magnolia Pictures. Watch the trailer, above.

synopsis:
