"Fast and Furious" star Paul Walker died five years ago in November of 2013 in a horrible car wreck. He was only 40 years old, and halfway through filming what ended up being the highest-grossing movie of his career, "Furious 7."

His life as a captivating film star and beloved fun-loving family man is the subject of a new documentary, which will be airing on the Paramount Network in August.

As part of the network's ongoing "I Am" documentary series, "I Am Paul Walker" features rare home movies and archival footage, as well as exclusive interviews with Walker's family members and closest friends, including "Running Scared" director Wayne Kramer, "The Fast and the Furious" director Rob Cohen, and "2 Fast 2 Furious" co-star Tyrese Gibson.

"That guy made the best of every single minute -- he lived five lifetimes," Kramer says in the newly-released trailer, watch it above.

Produced by Derik Murray (I Am MLK Jr., I Am Bruce Lee) and directed by Adrian Buitenhuis (I Am Sam Kinison, I Am Heath Ledger), "I Am Paul Walker" is scheduled to premiere Saturday, August 11 on the Paramount Network.
