FX's Mayans M.C. — Official Trailer

FX has just dropped the first official trailer for the highly-anticipated "Sons of Anarchy" spin-off series, "Mayans M.C."

Co-created and executive produced by SOA creator Kurt Sutter and writer Elgin James (Lowriders), the gritty biker drama takes place in the same world as "Sons of Anarchy" but is set after the events of Jax Teller's death.

Featuring a predominantly Latino cast led by J. D. Pardo (East Los High), Emilio Rivera (Sons of Anarchy), Richard Cabral (American Crime), and Edward James Olmos (Battlestar Galactica), the series centers on the members of Mayans M.C. -- a motorcycle gang that operates on the Cali/Mexi border.

Pardo plays a new prospect named EZ Reyes. Like Jax, EZ is an intelligent young man with a lot of potential who returns home after years away. Once back, he reunites with his old high-school sweetheart, Emily (played by Sarah Bolger, from STARZ's "Counterpart" and AMC's Into the Badlands). She, of course, doesn't want to see him get trapped in the biker gang lifestyle. But something tells us that EZ is destined for greatness and a lot of heartache.

"Mayans M.C." is set to premiere Tuesday, September 4th on FX.

synopsis:
Mayans M.C. is a drama series from Kurt Sutter and Elgin James, and is the next chapter in the Sons of Anarchy saga.

Set in a post-Jax Teller world, Ezekiel "EZ" Reyes (JD Pardo) is fresh out of prison and a prospect in the Mayans M.C. charter on the Cali/Mexi border. Now, EZ must carve out his new identity in a town where he was once the golden boy with the American Dream in his grasp.
