A brand-new trailer has been released for the highly-anticipated, long-awaited musical biopic "Bohemian Rhapsody," which is chronicling the history of famed British rock band Queen and its legendary frontman Freddie Mercury (portrayed here by Emmy-winning "Mr. Robot" star Rami Malek, who appears to be giving an awards worthy performance).

The film, which has been long in the works (at one time, comedian Sacha Baron Cohen was attached to play the late, Freddie Mercury -- though, he left the project back in 2013), is produced and authorized by band members Brian May and Roger Taylor.

In addition to Malek as Mercury, the cast also includes Gwilym Lee (Jamestown, The Hollow Crown) as Queen songwriter/guitarist Brian May; Joseph Mazzello (The Social Network, Jurassic Park) as Queen bass guitarist John Deacon, and Ben Hardy (X-Men: Apocalypse) as Queen drummer Roger Taylor.

Despite being fired during filming, scandal-ridden "X-Men" director Bryan Singer will officially receive the director's credit for "Bohemian Rhapsody." After a bitter public dispute with the studio in December, Singer was let go from the project. Director Dexter Fletcher (Eddie the Eagle) was then hired to replace Singer. Fletcher ended up directing the remaining two weeks of the film's production, and presumably had a say in the film's editing process.

"Game of Thrones" actor Aiden Gillen co-stars as Queen's music manager John Reid. "Sing Street" actress Lucy Boynton plays Mary Austin, a woman who had a long-term relationship with singer Freddie Mercury, despite the fact that he was also openly gay to his friends. Meanwhile, comedian Mike Myers makes an appearance as a hard-to-pleased music executive.

"Bohemian Rhapsody" is due to open everywhere on November 2nd.

synopsis:
Bohemian Rhapsody is a foot-stomping celebration of Queen, their music and their extraordinary lead singer Freddie Mercury, who defied stereotypes and shattered convention to become one of the most beloved entertainers on the planet.

The film traces the meteoric rise of the band through their iconic songs and revolutionary sound, their near-implosion as Mercury's lifestyle spirals out of control, and their triumphant reunion on the eve of Live Aid, where Mercury, facing a life-threatening illness, leads the band in one of the greatest performances in the history of rock music. In the process, cementing the legacy of a band that were always more like a family, and who continue to inspire outsiders, dreamers and music lovers to this day.
