Matthew Goode (Watchmen) and Teresa Palmer (Hacksaw Ridge) play a vampire and a witch who form an unlikely alliance in the trailer for the forthcoming British supernatural fantasy series "A Discovery Of Witches."
Based on the first installment of the best-selling "All Souls" trilogy by novelist Deborah Harkness, the British drama follows a young brilliant historian named Diana Bishop (Palmer) as she uncovers a secret world of demons, vampires, and witches. After she discovers her family comes from a long line of witches while stumbling upon an ancient magical manuscript, Diana is suddenly offered help by a mysterious geneticist who happens to be a handsome vampire (Goode).
Produced by UK's Sky One Network, the series will run for eight episodes with director Juan Carlos Medina (The Limehouse Golem) helming the first two installments.
Co-starring Alex Kingston, Lindsay Duncan, Valarie Pettiford, Tanya Moodie, Daniel Ezra, and Owen Teale, "A Discovery Of Witches" will premiere in the U.K. later in the year. As of yet, there's no official airdate for the U.S.
