Mandy — Official Trailer

A blood-soaked Nicolas Cage goes on a psychedelic journey through Hell to avenge the woman he loves in the official trailer for the mind-bending horror thriller "Mandy."

Co-starring Andrea Riseborough (Battle of the Sexes, Birdman) as Cage's true love, the titular Mandy, and Linus Roache (TV's Vikings, Batman Begins) as a sadistic cult leader named Jeremiah Sand, the 1980s-retrofied acid trip of a movie casts Rage-Cage as a bearded, Pacific Northwestern lumberjack named "Red." When he discovers his beautiful ladylove, Mandy, has been attacked by a hippie biker gang, Red sets off in a vengeance-fueled rage as he races through fiery hell with battle axe and chainsaw in hand.

Likely inspired by the midnight movies (as well as the Heavy Metal Album Covers) of the 1970s and '80s, "Mandy" is the second feature from visionary Canadian filmmaker Panos Cosmatos, who previously made the cult sci-fi head-scratcher "Beyond the Black Rainbow."

Co-starring Bill Duke (Predator, Commando) and Richard Brake (31, Game of Thrones), "Mandy," which premiered to strong reviews at Sundance this year, will be released in theaters on September 14th.

Pacific Northwest. 1983 AD. Outsiders Red Miller (Nicolas Cage) and Mandy Bloom (Andrea Riseborough) lead a loving and peaceful existence. When their pine-scented haven is savagely destroyed by a cult led by the sadistic Jeremiah Sand (Linus Roache), Red is catapulted into a phantasmagoric journey filled with bloody vengeance and laced with fire.
