A group of horror festival-goers must band together and use their horror knowledge to survive a night of pure mayhem.

Check out the newly-released trailer for "Blood Fest," a horror comedy from famed digital media company, Rooster Teeth.

The film stars Jacob Batalon (Spiderman: Homecoming, Avengers: Infinity War), Seychelle Gabriel (TV's Falling Skies, Sleight), and Robbie Kay (TV's Once Upon a Time) as three horror fanatics who, while attending an annual outdoor horror festival, discover the festival's diabolical host has programmed something extremely sinister for the night's festivities.

Featuring guest appearances by comedian Nick Rutherford, Tate Donovan (The Man in the High Castle), and Zachary Levi (upcoming Shazam!), the film is written and directed by horror filmmaker and novelist Owen Egerton, who made his feature debut with 2015's "Follow."

"Blood Fest" will be released in theaters and on VOD beginning August 31st. It will also have a special one-night Fathom event in more than 600 movie theaters across the U.S. on Tuesday, August 14. The film is also slated for a Blu-ray/DVD release on October 2nd.

synopsis:
Hailed by critics and fans as "an already wild party where someone has spiked the punch" (Kimberley Elizabeth, from "Nightmare on Film Street"), "Blood Fest" follows fans who flock to a festival celebrating the most iconic horror movies, only to discover that the charismatic showman (Owen Egerton) behind the event has a diabolical agenda. As festival attendees start dying off, three teenagers (Robbie Kay, Seychelle Gabriel, Jacob Batalon) more schooled in horror-film cliches than practical knowledge about neutralizing psycho killers must band together and battle through various madmen and monstrosities to survive.
