Check out the newly-released red band teaser trailer for the Sundance hit "Assassination Nation."
The film, written and directed by Sam Levinson (Another Happy Day), is a darkly satirical high school thriller about how four teenage girls (played by Odessa Young, Suki Waterhouse, Hari Nef, and Abra) find themselves swept up in an escalating wave of chaotic violence after private information from student's social media accounts is maliciously released to the public.
The cast also includes Bill Skarsgard, Bella Thorne, Anika Noni Rose, Colman Domingo, and Joel McHale.
After premiering to mostly positive reviews at Sundance this year where it was picked up by US distributor NEON and directors Joe and Anthony Russo's newly launched label AGBO for a reported $10 million, "Assassination Nation" will now be released theatrically on September 21st.
synopsis:
High school senior Lily and her group of friends live in a haze of texts, posts, selfies and chats just like the rest of the world. So, when an anonymous hacker starts posting details from the private lives of everyone in their small town, the result is absolute madness leaving Lily and her friends questioning whether they'll live through the night.
