Ewan McGregor (Fargo, Trainspotting) and Lea Seydoux (Spectre, Blue Is the Warmest Color) attempt to improve romantic relationships for humans, only to generate a whole new set of complications after creating the perfect synthetic partner in the first trailer for "Zoe," a science-fiction drama from "Like Crazy" and "Equals" director Drake Doremus.

Set in the not-too-distant future, "Zoe" casts McGregor and Seydoux as a pair of artificial-intelligence engineers at a cutting-edge tech company. Though they have strong romantic feelings for each other, their relationship is tested when McGregor's character suddenly reveals that he has created the world's most advanced synthetic robot (played here by "Divergent" star Theo James) who has been designed to be the perfect romantic partner with the keen ability to engage and sense human feelings.

Co-starring Rashida Jones with a guest appearance by pop-singer Christina Aguilera, supposedly, as a robot prostitute, "Zoe" received a lukewarm reception back in April at the Tribeca Film Festival. The film has since been acquired by Amazon Studios, and will be stream exclusively for Amazon Prime members on July 20th.
