Oscar-winner Jeremy Irons and Jack Huston find themselves butting heads while setting off on a cross-country road trip in the trailer for the father-son comedy "An Actor Prepares."

Co-starring Ben Schwartz, the indie comedy sees Irons as Atticus Smith, a pompous 70-year-old actor with an alcohol and drug addiction. While recovering from a surprise heart attack, Atticus finds himself relying on his estranged adult son, Adam (played by Huston), to drive him across the country to make it in time for the wedding of his "favorite child" (played here by The Good Wife's Mamie Gummer). And along the way, Adam finally gets to have some quality time with his famous father, whether he wanted it or not.

Directed by filmmaker Steve Clark (Night Has Settled) and written by Clark and Thomas Moffett (Shrink), "An Actor Prepares" will be released theatrically on August 31st.

synopsis:
After suffering a heart attack, a famous, hard-drinking actor, Atticus Smith (Jeremy Irons) is forced to drive across country to make it in time for his daughter's (Mamie Gummer) wedding. Atticus’ only hope of making the wedding lies with his estranged son, Adam (Jack Huston), who wants nothing to do with him.
