Chloe Grace Moretz (Kick-Ass, Neighbors 2) is suddenly struck down by a mysterious illness in the trailer for the upcoming Netflix movie "Brain On Fire."

Based on Susannah Cahalan's memoir of the same name, the film tells the remarkable true story of a 24-year-old New York Post reporter (played by Moretz) who, one day in 2009, felt something was wrong with her head and fingertips, only to later be hospitalized with a mysterious illness that doctors could not diagnose. She soon plunged into a month-long hellish ordeal where she lost the ability to move or speak, only after suffering from random bouts of memory loss, outbursts, and seizures.

The drama, written and directed by Irish filmmaker Gerard Barrett (Glassland, Pilgrim Hill), co-stars Richard Armitage, Carrie-Anne Moss, Jenny Slate, Thomas Mann, Tyler Perry, and Navid Negahban.

"Brain On Fire," which premiered back in 2016 at the Toronto International Film Festival, will be released on June 22nd on Netflix.
