Check out the official trailer for Season 2 of Cinemax's supernatural thriller "Outcast," which is based on the horror comic book by "The Walking Dead" creator Robert Kirkman and illustrator Paul Azaceta.

Patrick Fugit (Almost Famous, Gone Girl) stars in the series as Kyle Barnes, who is a young West Virginia man with a very dark past, who possesses a special ability to suck out and expel demonic spirits from possessed victims.

Kyle is partnered up with Reverend John Anderson (played by returning cast member, English actor Philip Glenister), who is an evangelist preacher and exorcist who drives through to local counties, seeking people to help.

Executive produced by Kirkman and co-starring Wrenn Schmidt, Kate Lyn Sheil, Madeleine McGraw, and David Denman with appearances by Star Trek: The Next Generation's Brent Spiner and the late, actor Reg E. Cathey, who sadly passed away earlier this year, "Outcast: Season 2" (which, oddly enough, already aired in the UK last year) will finally make its US debut on Friday, July 20th on Cinemax.

synopsis:
In the second season of Outcast, the exploration and mystery of what lies behind the supernatural manifestations and why they are drawn to Kyle Barnes continues. As the possessions that have plagued him grow in scope and number, Kyle struggles to protect those he holds most dear. At his side are Reverend Anderson and Chief Giles, while his sister Megan grapples with her own demons. But otherworldly threats prove greater than Kyle could ever have anticipated. His struggle will grow into a fight for all of Rome, as he discovers the haunting secrets of his own past.
