Ryan Gosling will attempt to take one small step for man and one giant leap for mankind as he portrays legendary astronaut Neil Armstrong in the upcoming bio-pic "First Man," for which the first official trailer has just been released online.
Based on Armstrong's official biography by James R. Hansen, the film marks Gosling's second collaboration with Oscar-winning director Damien Chazelle, following the award-winning musical "La La Land."
Also starring The Crown's Claire Foy as Armstrong's wife, Janet, the 1960s-era drama chronicles the events that led Armstrong to become the first man to walk on the Moon.
The cast also includes Jason Clarke, Kyle Chandler, Patrick Fugit, Ciaran Hinds, Ethan Embry, Shea Whigham, Corey Stoll, and Pablo Schreiber.
Written by Oscar-winning "Spotlight" scribe Josh Singer, "First Man" is hitting theaters October 12th.
