Marvel's Ant-Man and the Wasp — New TV Spot: 'Fun'

Marvel has released a brand-new 30-second commercial for "Ant-Man and the Wasp," which plays up the "fun" aspects of the highly-anticipated superhero sequel.

We see Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) swell up in size, transforming himself into "Giant-Man" in front of a whole crowd of screeching onlookers before uttering the words "Me eat people." He is, of course, joking and he quickly apologizes to the screaming crowd: "Sorry, I'm messing around."

The humorous TV spot also features the return of Luis, Scott Lang's dimwitted, yet chatty sidekick who was once his cellmate and a thieving criminal, again played with gusto by Michael Pena. We see a scene in which Luis gets to have a one-on-one conversation with Hope van Dyne, aka The Wasp (played by Evangeline Lilly). He asks Hope about wanting to have a suit of his own. "Wish I had a suit. Even with like minimum powers or maybe even just a suit with no powers," Luis suggests. To which Hope quickly response with a flat-out "No."

Taking place in-between the events of "Captain America: Civil War" and "Avengers: Infinity War," "Ant-Man and the Wasp" finds Scott, Hope, and Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) forced to go on the run from the government, but while doing so they discover someone has stolen some dangerous top-secret technology which gives the person the ability to vanish into thin air ... like a "Ghost." Now they must stop this new "Ghost" villain (played here by Ready Player One's Hannah John-Kamen) before any more damage is done.

Also, co-starring Laurence Fishburne and Walton Goggins, "Ant-Man and the Wasp" is hitting theaters July 6th.

From the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes a new chapter featuring heroes with the astonishing ability to shrink: "Ant-Man and The Wasp." In the aftermath of "Captain America: Civil War," Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a Super Hero and a father. As he struggles to rebalance his home life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he's confronted by Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) and Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside The Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from their past.
