It's a Cyrano de Bergerac-like tale, but with a British schoolboy twist.

Check out the first international trailer for "Old Boys," the forthcoming British schoolboy comedy that stars Alex Lawther (from "The Imitation Game" and star of the darkly comic cult series "The End of the F--king World") as a socially awkward English teen at an all-boys boarding school who finds himself helping out a handsome, yet dull-witted jock by becoming his secret poetic voice when wooing a lovely French girl with whom they are both smitten.

Inspired by Edmond Rostand's classic 1897 play "Cyrano de Bergerac," the film is feature directorial debut of commercial director Toby MacDonald, whose credits include the BAFTA-nominated shorts "Je t'aime John Wayne" and "Heavy Metal Drummer."

Co-starring Jonah Hauer-King (Little Women), Pauline Etienne (Tokyo Fiancee), and Denis Menochet (Inglourious Basterds), "Old Boys" is making its world premiere in June at the Edinburgh International Film Festival.
