Well, you better "sit back and enjoy the ride" and check out this brand-new red band trailer for "Upgrade," which stars Logan Marshall-Green (Prometheus, Spider-Man: Homecoming) as a grieving paralyzed widower who sets out to exact vengeance on those who murdered his wife after an experimental artificial-intelligence device is implanted onto his spine, which not only enables him to walk again but also turns him into an unstoppable killing machine.

Co-starring Harrison Gilbertson (Hounds of Love), Christopher Kirby (Iron Sky), Betty Gabriel (Get Out) and Melanie Vallejo (Power Rangers Mystic Force), "Upgrade" hails from writer-director Leigh Whannell, the actor and screenwriter of the "Saw" and "Insidious" horror franchises. The film is Whannell's second directorial effort, following 2015's "Insidious: Chapter 3."

"Upgrade" premiered to strong reviews at this year's SXSW Film Festival, where it took home an Audience Award. The film is now slated for June 1st theatrical release.

synopsis:
After his wife is killed during a brutal mugging that also leaves him paralyzed, Grey Trace (Logan Marshall Green) is approached by a billionaire inventor with an experimental cure that will "upgrade" his body. The cure -- an Artificial Intelligence implant called STEM -- gives Grey physical abilities beyond anything experienced and the ability to relentlessly claim vengeance against those who murdered his wife and left him for dead.
