A new trailer has been released for the forthcoming documentary "Won't You Be My Neighbor?," which explores the legacy of America's most beloved children's television host Fred Rogers.

Oscar-winning documentary filmmaker Morgan Neville (20 Feet from Stardom) directs this heartfelt portrait of the famed creator and host of the long-running, award-winning educational kids series "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood."

The documentary, which premiered to rave reviews at Sundance this year, takes a nostalgic and detailed look at how an idealistic Presbyterian minister from Pittsburgh named Fred Rogers started a career as a puppeteer on a local kids show in the early 1950s, and then a decade later became America's most favorite cardigan sweater-wearing neighbor who on a daily basis inspired generations of children with messages of love and acceptance.

"Won't You Be My Neighbor?" is scheduled to be released theatrically on June 8th.
