Woody Harrelson and James Marsden are a pair of intrepid investigative reporters trying to find the "real" reason why the Bush administration invaded Iraq in the newly-released trailer for "Shock and Awe."

Directed by and co-starring Rob Reiner (LBJ, The American President, A Few Good Men), the upcoming film is based on a true story, about how two reporters for the Knight Ridder newspaper, Jonathan S. Landay (Marsden) and Warren P. Strobel (Harrelson) got the story right before anyone that the Bush administration was already itching to go to war and was working on a way to justify it to the American people before announcing their plans to topple Saddam Hussein in 2003.

In addition to Harrelson, Marsden, and Reiner, the cast also includes Tommy Lee Jones, Jessica Biel, Milla Jovovich, Richard Schiff, Gretchen Koerner, and Luke Tennie

Written by "LBJ" scribe Joey Hartstone, "Shock and Awe" will be released exclusively on DirecTV's VOD service on June 14th before arriving in theaters July 11th.

synopsis:
The film is based on the true events of Knight Ridder journalists who were the only ones who "got it right" in the lead-up to the 2003 Iraq War when they questioned the true nature of the Bush White House's justification for the conflict.
