CBS has released the official trailer for the upcoming remake of the classic 1980s Tom Selleck-starring series "Magnum P.I."

"Suicide Squad" actor Jay Hernandez takes over the role of Thomas Magnum, a thrill-seeking private investigator who investigates criminal cases in Hawaii, while residing in the guest house of a large beachfront estate owned by best-selling, yet never-seen novelist Robin Masters.

While working with a tight-knit crew that includes two former vets named TC and Rick (played by Boardwalk Empire's Stephen Hill and Happy Endings' Zachary Knighton) and an ex-British intelligence agent named "Juliet" Higgins (played by Penny Dreadful's Perdita Weeks), Magnum drives around the island of Oahu in a red convertible Ferrari solving some of the most dangerous crimes in town.

Executive produced and developed into a series by "Hawaii Five-0" reboot co-creator Peter Lenkov along with "Hawaii Five-0" reboot producer-writer Eric Guggenheim, the new CBS fall drama is also being executive produced by "Fast & Furious" director Justin Lin, who also directed the hour-long pilot.

"Magnum P.I." is slated to launch on Monday Night, premiering sometime in the fall on CBS. To watch more CBS Fall Show previews, click here.

Magnum P.I. returns with all-new sun-drenched adventures as our hero takes jobs no one else will with the help of fellow vets T.C. Calvin and Rick Wright and the former MI:6 agent with a familiar last name (but now a female) -- Higgins. Based on the 1980s series.
