Check out a brand-new behind-the-scenes featurette for "Solo: A Star Wars Story," which gives us some insight on how the filmmakers created the movie's stunning visuals, from the earthy cinematography to the gorgeous creature and costume designs.

"This is a Star Wars film about rebels on the run," says cinematographer Bradford Young, who became the first African American cinematographer to earned an Oscar nomination for his camera work on the alien-invasion drama "Arrival." "One of the things that struck me was that this film had to be natural. It had to be about characters putting their feet on natural surfaces."

Director Ron Howard is also singing praises of Bradford's lighting techniques: "Bradford is a tremendous artist. He has a fantastic style. And visually, he builds from character and story."

The preview also features interviews with crew members from the make-up and special effects team, as well as the costume designers who claim that this production has the "most costumes they ever produced for a Star Wars film."

Starring Alden Ehrenreich, Donald Glover, Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and Paul Bettany, "Solo: A Star Wars Story" opens next week on May 25th.
