Year of Spectacular Men — Trailer

Real-life sisters Maddie and Zoey Deutch star as on-screen sisters in a new movie, which is directed by their real-life mother, actress Lea Thompson (Back to the Future, TV's Switched at Birth).

Check out the trailer for "Year of Spectacular Men," a film that marks Lea Thompson's feature directorial debut, which stars her real-life daughters Maddie Deutch (from the Cinemax horror series "Outcast") and Zoey Deutch (from the comedies "Why Him?" and "Everybody Wants Some").

Maddie, who also wrote the film's screenplay, plays the lead character, a college grad named Izzy Klein, who finds herself struggling to find her own path in life, while also grappling with the idea that her younger sister, Sabrina (played by Zoey), is more famous and successful than she is.

Co-starring Avan Jogia (TV's Twisted), Jesse Bradford (Bring It On), Nicholas Braun (Freaks of Nature), Brandon T. Jackson (Tropic Thunder), and Cameron Monaghan (TV's Gotham), "Year of Spectacular Men" will be released June 15th.

Izzy Klein has (barely) graduated from college, broken up (sorta) with her boyfriend, and has a bad case of pre-real-world millennial-itis. Throughout the year, she falls in and out of some not so romantic romances, and figures out that when it totally feels like the end of your story, it’s often just the beginning.
