Syfy's Deadly Class — First Look Preview

added: Mon, May 14th '18

Here's an early peek at "Deadly Class," the new Syfy series based on the Image comic book of the same name, which is being executive produced by Joe and Anthony Russo, the directors of "Avengers: Infinity War."

Set in San Francisco, 1987, the cable drama is a gritty, coming-of-age tale about a teenage misfit named Marcus (played by newcomer Benjamin Wadsworth, from MTV's "Teen Wolf") who is suddenly recruited to enroll at a special private high school that trains children to be world-class assassins.

Based on the graphic novel by comic book writer/artist Rick Remender and illustrator Wes Craig, the Syfy series also stars Benedict Wong (Doctor Strange), Lana Condor (X-Men: Apocalypse), Michel Duval (Queen of the South), Maria Gabriela de Faria (Yo Soy Franky), Luke Tennie (Shock and Awe), and Liam James (The Killing).

"Deadly Class" won't premiere until 2019, but Syfy has just unveiled a "first look" preview, today. Watch it above.

The story is set in the counter-culture of the late 1980s and tells the story of a teenager who is recruited into an elite private school filled with the children of crime families and affluent criminals. It'll track these social circles as they try to survive "ruthless curriculum, vicious social cliques" and the adolescent uncertainties that transcend even the most dangerous of high school settings.
