Hulu has released a new official trailer for the upcoming psychological-horror series "Castle Rock," which features an impressive ensemble cast that includes the likes of Oscar winner Sissy Spacek, Moonlight's Andre Holland. IT's Bill Skarsgard, Don't Breathe's Jane Levy, The Leftovers' Scott Glenn, Togetherness' Melanie Lynskey, and Lost's Terry O'Quinn.

Hailing from executive producers J.J. Abrams and Stephen King, the ten-episode suspense chiller is set in "Castle Rock," which is best known to King's fans as the fictional Maine town that has been the setting of many of his classic horror novels, including Cujo, The Dark Half, IT, Needful Things, The Shawshank Redemption and so on.

Created by writing and producing duo Sam Shaw and Dustin Thomason (Manhattan), the Hulu series has been set up as a Stephen King multiverse, and will not only emulate King's stories and writing style, but also feature several of his literary characters.

With a pilot episode directed by acclaimed TV helmer Michael Uppendahl (Fargo, Legion, American Horror Story), "Castle Rock" is premiering Wednesday, July 25th only on Hulu.

A psychological-horror series set in the Stephen King multiverse, Castle Rock combines the mythological scale and intimate character storytelling of King's best-loved works, weaving an epic saga of darkness and light, played out on a few square miles of Maine woodland.

The fictional Maine town of Castle Rock has figured prominently in King's literary career: Cujo, The Dark Half, IT and Needful Things, as well as novella The Body and numerous short stories such as Rita Hayworth and The Shawshank Redemption are either set there or contain references to Castle Rock. Castle Rock is an original suspense/thriller -- a first-of-its-kind reimagining that explores the themes and worlds uniting the entire King canon, while brushing up against some of his most iconic and beloved stories.
