From Debra Granik, the Oscar-nominated writer and director of "Winter's Bone," comes a new character-driven touching drama revolving around the unique relationship between an unconventional father and his young, strong-minded daughter.

Check out the official trailer for "Leave No Trace," featuring what appears to be another strong performance from Ben Foster (Hell or High Water, Lone Survivor, The Messenger) as a PTSD-afflicted veteran and survivalist father who gets in trouble with the law after he's discovered living off the grid in the Oregon wilderness with his 13-year-old home-schooled daughter (played by up-and-coming New Zealand-born actress Thomasin Harcourt McKenzie).

Based on the 2009 novel "My Abandonment" by Peter Rock, and co-starring Dana Millican, Jeff Kober, and Dale Dickey, "Leave No Trace" premiered to strong reviews at this year's Sundance. The film is currently slated to hit select theaters June 29th.

synopsis:
Will (Ben Foster) and his teenage daughter, Tom (Thomasin Harcourt McKenzie), have lived off the grid for years in the forests of Portland, Oregon. When their idyllic life is shattered, both are put into social services. After clashing with their new surroundings, Will and Tom set off on a harrowing journey back to their wild homeland.
