"Faster, More Intense!" is something writer-director Ari Aster probably never had to say to Oscar-nominee Toni Collette while filming the upcoming much-buzzed-about horror movie "Hereditary," which just-released an early TV Spot that spotlights Collette's stunning performance which will hopefully earn her some critical praise by the end of the year.

The film tells the story of an unraveling, grief-stricken family following the death of their reclusive, dementia-addled grandmother. Collette plays the family's new matriarch, a dollhouse maker who struggles to cope with her mother's death, despite the fact that her mother was a very, very strange woman who for many years exerted significant control over her life.

After earning overwhelmingly positive reviews at Sundance this year, "Hereditary," co-starring Gabriel Byrne (The Usual Suspects) as the father of the doomed family with their teenage children Alex Wolff (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle) and Milly Shapiro (Broadway's "Matilda") shall open in theaters on June 8th.

synopsis:
When Ellen, the matriarch of the Graham family, passes away, her daughter's family begins to unravel cryptic and increasingly terrifying secrets about their ancestry. The more they discover, the more they find themselves trying to outrun the sinister fate they seem to have inherited.

Making his feature debut, writer-director Ari Aster unleashes a nightmare vision of a domestic breakdown that exhibits the craft and precision of a nascent auteur, transforming a familial tragedy into something ominous and deeply disquieting, and pushing the horror movie into chilling new terrain with its shattering portrait of heritage gone to hell.
