Logan Marshall-Green (Prometheus, Spider-Man: Homecoming) plays a paralyzed widower who becomes a computer-controlled killing machine in the newly-released red band trailer for "Upgrade," an upcoming high-concept sci-fi actioner with a revenge thriller twist.

From Blumhouse Productions, the producers of the low-budget blockbusters "Get Out," "Happy Death Day," and "The Purge," the film is written and directed by Australian actor/filmmaker Leigh Whannell, who is better known as the co-creator/screenwriter of the "Saw" and "Insidious" horror franchises.

Co-starring Betty Gabriel (Get Out) and Harrison Gilbertson (Hounds of Love), the thriller takes place in the not too distant future and follows a severely crippled man named Grey Trace (Green), who gets a chance to exact vengeance for his wife's murder when his spine is implanted with an experimental artificial-intelligence device that not only enables him to walk again, but also empowers him to fight and kill like "a f-ing ninja!"

Winner of this year's Audience Award at the SXSW Film Festival, "Upgrade" will be coming to theaters on June 1st.

synopsis:
After his wife is killed during a brutal mugging that also leaves him paralyzed, Grey Trace (Logan Marshall Green) is approached by a billionaire inventor with an experimental cure that will "upgrade" his body. The cure -- an Artificial Intelligence implant called STEM -- gives Grey physical abilities beyond anything experienced and the ability to relentlessly claim vengeance against those who murdered his wife and left him for dead.
