A bullied teen gets some helpful advice from an old wise man in the trailer for the bittersweet coming-of-age film "Measure Of A Man," starring The Maze Runner's Blake Cooper and veteran actor Donald Sutherland (The Hunger Games, FX's Trust).

The 1970s-set indie drama, which also stars Judy Greer and Luke Wilson, is set over the course of a faithful summer and centers on a pudgy 14-year-old kid named Bobby Marks (Cooper). While working a summer job cutting grass for an old retiree (Sutherland), Bobby finds himself dealing with the highs and lows of adolescence, which includes getting tormented by a local bully (Beau Knapp). Bobby, however, receives words of encouragement from Sutherland's character, an old sage who knows a thing or two about how to deal with simple-minded bullies.

Based on Robert Lipsyte's coming-of-age novel "One Fat Summer" and directed by British television and film director Jim Loach (Oranges and Sunshine) and written for the screen by David Scearce (A Single Man), "Measure Of A Man" is due to hit theaters May 11th.

Over the course of this emotional roller coaster of a summer, secrets are revealed, lessons are learned and fourteen-year-old Bobby comes to understand who he is and what makes up the true measure of a man.
