A brand-new teaser trailer has been released for "Succession," a new, upcoming HBO original series from Oscar-winning writer-director Adam McKay (Big Short, Anchorman) and Oscar-nominated British writer Jesse Armstrong (In the Loop, Four Lions).

Boasting a strong ensemble cast led by Brian Cox (Zodiac, X-Men 2), Jeremy Strong (Big Short), Kieran Culkin (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World), Sarah Snook (Steve Jobs), and Alan Ruck (Ferris Bueller's Day Off), the series revolves around an extremely wealthy and powerful family who -- much in the vein of the Rockefellers, or the Murdochs -- run a multi-billion-dollar media and entertainment empire.

Cox plays the family's aging patriarch and the head of the family corporation. Meanwhile, Strong plays Cox's heir-apparent son who secretly conspires with his siblings (Culkin, Snook, and Ruck) to take over control of the family business when dear old dad suddenly refuses to retire at the last minute.

Created and written by Armstrong, with the pilot directed by McKay, who is also serving as an executive producer, "Succession" is currently slated to premiere in June on HBO.

synopsis:
The Roy family -- Logan Roy and his four children -- controls one of the biggest media and entertainment conglomerates in the world.
