Check out the first teaser trailer for the new upcoming YouTube Red series "Impulse," which is executive produced by "Bourne Identity" and "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" director Doug Liman, and based on the third novel in Steven Gould's best-selling "Jumper" series.
Starring Maddie Hasson (from the television thrillers "Twisted" and "Mr. Mercedes"), the streaming web series centers on a 16-year-old New York misfit named Henrietta "Henry" Cole who, after suffering a traumatic experience, discovers she possesses an impulsive ability to teleport (or "jump") herself to anyplace in the world.
The cast of the ten-episode drama also includes David James Elliott (TV's JAG), Missi Pyle (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle), Sarah Desjardins (TV's Van Helsing), Enuka Okuma (TV's Rookie Blue), and Craig Arnold (TV's Degrassi: The Next Generation).
"Impulse" is slated to premiere this summer exclusively on YouTube Red.
synopsis:
In the upcoming YouTube Red Original Drama Series IMPULSE, 16-year-old Henry Coles is an outsider in her new town of Reston, New York. With a major chip on her shoulder and no friends, she remains withdrawn and isolated, but everything changes when a traumatic encounter with a classmate triggers something deep within Henry -- unleashing a power she cannot control.
