"Avatar" star Sam Worthington goes through a horrifying metamorphosis in the new official trailer for "The Titan," a sci-fi horror thriller debuting on Netflix later this month.

Taking a place in the near future where Earth's resources have been depleted, the film centers on a top-secret government experiment in which military volunteers agreed to have their genetic make-up modified by scientists. The objective of the experiment is to show if humankind is capable of withstanding "forced evolution," the process of evolving into "enhanced humans" for a new and dangerous phase of space travel -- which may very well be for the evacuation of Earth and the colonization of another planet, called "the Titan."

Directed by Lennart Ruff and co-starring Taylor Schilling (Orange Is the New Black), Tom Wilkinson (Selma), Nathalie Emmanuel (Game of Thrones), Agyness Deyn (Hard Sun), and Diego Boneta (Rock of Ages), "The Titan" will be released on Netflix beginning March 30th.
