Okay, depending on how you feel about seeing teenagers getting mercilessly kicked in the face and gut, this might be a very good reason to subscribe to YouTube Red.

Check out the new official trailer for "Cobra Kai," the upcoming Karate Kid sequel series, which sees former '80s kid actors William Zabka and Ralph Macchio reprising their iconic roles as karate rivals Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso.

Set 34 years after the events of the original 1984 film, the streaming series finds Johnny as a down-on-his-luck drunk while Daniel is a cocky, successful local car salesman.

But when Johnny comes to the rescue of a bullied teen, he discovers he still has his edgy fighting skills. So, when that bullied teen asks Johnny to teach him karate, he not only accepts but also has decided to re-open the old Cobra Kai dojo. This, of course, enrages Daniel to the point of reigniting their decades-old rivalry.

Hailing from "Harold & Kumar" creators Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg, and "Hot Tub Time Machine" writer Josh Heald, "Cobra Kai" will premiere next month at the Tribeca Film Festival before being released exclusively on YouTube Red on May 2nd.
