Check out the new official trailer for "Marvel's Cloak & Dagger," an upcoming teen superhero series that's based on the 1980s comic book of the same name.
Set to air in June on ABC's Freeform network, the cable drama stars Aubrey Joseph (HBO's The Night Of) and Olivia Holt (Disney's Kickin' It) as two teenagers who, after discovering that they now possess super powers, randomly bump into each other and realize their powers are somehow connected.
Created by television producer and comic book writer Joe Pokaski (Heroes, Underground), the series is essentially telling the origin story of Marvel superhero duo Cloak and Dagger -- a modern-day depiction of how they first met.
Tyrone Johnson, aka Cloak, is a high school basketball star who becomes aware of his ability to form undulating shadows and can submerge himself into total darkness. Meanwhile, Tandy Bowen, aka Dagger, is a troubled teen who is running away from home when she discovers her hands can emit glowing light and also create daggers made of light. Together, they become a force for good while also becoming a romantic couple at the same time.
Co-starring Gloria Reuben, Andrea Roth, and Miles Mussenden, "Marvel's Cloak & Dagger" is due to premiere on Thursday, June 7th on Freeform.

"Marvel's Cloak & Dagger" is the story of Tandy Bowen (Olivia Holt) and Tyrone Johnson (Aubrey Joseph) -- two teenagers from very different backgrounds, who find themselves burdened and awakened to newly acquired superpowers which are mysteriously linked to one another. Tandy can emit light daggers and Tyrone has the ability to engulf others in darkness. They quickly learn they are better together than apart, but their feelings for each other make their already complicated world even more challenging.
