AMC's The Terror — Behind-the-Scenes Featurettes

added: Thu, Mar 15th '18

Go behind the scenes of AMC's new historical horror series "The Terror," which hails from executive producer Ridley Scott.

Based on the best-selling novel by Dan Simmons, the ten-episode drama is a fictional account of a true-life doomed expedition in 1847.

Ciaran Hinds (Game of Thrones) and Jared Harris (The Crown) star as real-life British Naval captains John Franklin and Francis Crozier. They commanded the naval ships HMS Erebus and HMS Terror during a failed attempt to cross the Northwest Passage.

The series, which is created and written by screenwriter David Kajganich (True Story, Upcoming Suspiria Remake), offers a terrifying, fabricated account of the famed 19th-century shipwreck, during which crew officers from both vessels were marooned in the Antarctic where they were seemingly stalked and killed off intermittently by a mysterious beast.

Co-starring Outlander's Tobias Menzies, "The Terror" will premiere on AMC beginning Monday, March 26th. Watch the newly-released behind-the-scenes featurettes, above.

Set in 1847. A crew of a Royal Naval expedition is sent to find the Arctic's treacherous Northwest Passage but instead discovers a monstrous predator, a cunning and vicious Gothic horror that stalks the ships in a desperate game of survival, the consequences of which could endanger the region and its native people forever.
