And you thought high school was a terrible experience. Just wait until you check out this new trailer for "Eighth Grade," a bittersweet comedy depicting one of the most awkward and uncomfortable times in a person's life: the year before starting high school.

Starring kid voice actress Elsie Fisher (of the "Despicable Me" films) and Josh Hamilton (13 Reasons Why, Frances Ha), the film follows a young typically bashful thirteen-year-old girl as she navigates the social challenges of a cumbersome eighth-grade year.

Stand-up comedian Bo Burnham, who recently appeared in the comedies "The Big Sick" and "Rough Night," is making his directorial debut with "Eighth Grade," for which he also wrote the screenplay.

The film, which premiered to glowing reviews at Sundance this year, will be released in theaters this summer, beginning July 13th. Watch the trailer, above.
