Check out the official trailer for the highly anticipated second season of the critically acclaimed FX series "Legion," starring Dan Stevens (Beauty and the Beast) as David Haller, a schizophrenic mental patient with telepathic powers, who is known in the X-Men comic book universe as Professor Charles Xavier's mutant son.

Noah Hawley, the Emmy-winning producer and writer of the "Fargo" anthology, created the visually clever series and has been praised for putting his own unique spin on the superhero genre.

While adding new dimensions to the comic book character, the series takes viewers inside the mind of the mentally ill telepath who confuses reality with psychedelic fantasy, and vice versa. Although, in this new season, David knows that he has mutant powers, and will try to bring down "the Shadow King."

Co-starring Rachel Keller, Jean Smart, Aubrey Plaza, Bill Irwin, Katie Aselton, Jemaine Clement, Jeremie Harris, Amber Midthunder, and Hamish Linklater, "Legion: Season 2" is due to start airing April 3rd on the FX Network.

synopsis:
Legion follows the story of "David Haller," a man who believed he was schizophrenic but discovered he might be the most powerful mutant in the world. With help from a team of specialists, David harnessed his unique abilities and learned he'd been haunted by a malicious parasite. Now, David is all that stands in the way of "Amahl Farouk" from attaining infinite and world-ending power.
