From the writers of "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" and "How I Met Your Mother" comes a new feature-length comedy that's being described as "Rear Window for stoners."

Starring The Mindy Project's Adam Pally, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend's Rachel Bloom, and Mad Men's Vincent Kartheiser, check out the newly-released trailer for the upcoming murder-mystery comedy "Most Likely to Murder," which marks the feature directorial debut of comedy writer Dan Gregor, who also co-wrote the screenplay with writing partner Doug Mand.

The film follows a hapless, washed-up schlub (Pally) as he returns to his hometown after more than a decade and is shocked to learn that his long-beloved childhood crush (Bloom) is in a committed relationship with the old high-school "weirdo" (Kartheiser). Heartbroken and utterly drunk, Pally begins to spy on him from across the street. But when the weirdo's mother is suddenly found dead the next morning, Pally feels he must launch his own private investigation -- and a Scooby-Doo-style mystery ensues.

Co-starring John Reynolds, Ethan Phillips, Tami Sagher, Billy Eichner, Didi Conn, and Constance Shulman, "Most Likely to Murder" will premiere later this month at the SXSW Film Festival. It's also set to be released on Digital, VOD, and DVD beginning May 1st, through Lionsgate's newly-minted digital distribution label, "Studio L."

synopsis:
Billy Green (Adam Pally), ten years past his prime, heads back to his hometown for Thanksgiving, desperate to relive past glories and reconnect with his old high school girlfriend, Kara (Rachel Bloom). But Kara is now dating Lowell (Vincent Kartheiser), the creepy longer from high school who has grown up to be the town's beloved pharmacist. When Billy begins to suspect Lowell is harboring a deadly secret, he becomes obsessed with proving Lowell is a murderer -- Or is Billy just a jealous idiot who can't let go of the past?
