Netflix has released a brand-new behind-the-scenes peek at the eagerly-awaited second season of Marvel's "Jessica Jones," which sees the return of Krysten Ritter as the severely peeved-off, whiskey-guzzling New York private eye who happens to possess superhuman strength.

"Jessica Jones resonated in such a big way, because we haven't seen a superhero like this before," says Ritter in the new featurette. "Jessica is strong. She is also vulnerable. And despite everything she's been through, she still fights."

The new season of the Melissa Rosenberg-created Netflix series will revolve around Jessica's mysterious past, focusing on how she originally got her superpowers. The drama will also show how Jessica's troubled past is still having a negative effect on her life and current relationships, including her strong emotional bond with her best-friend/adoptive sister, radio host (and possibly new vigilante hero) Trish Walker, again played here by Rachael Taylor.

Co-starring Carrie-Anne Moss and Eka Darville, with Janet McTeer as a new cast member and David Tennant returning for an appearance as mind-controlling villain Kilgrave, Marvel's "Jessica Jones: Season 2" begins streaming on March 8th on Netflix.

synopsis:

Now known throughout the city as a super-powered killer, a new case makes her reluctantly confront who she really is while digging deeper into her past to explore the reasons why.
