Anya Taylor-Joy (The New Mutants) and Olivia Cooke (Ready Player One) are a couple of bad girls who think murder and black-mail are "fun" in the final trailer for the darkly comic crime thriller "Thoroughbreds," which is featuring the final on-screen performance by the late, Anton Yelchin (Star Trek).

Written and directed by first-time feature filmmaker Cory Finley, the film is a genre mashup of a bumbling hitman caper and an evil murder plot thriller, sort of like "American Psycho" meets "Heavenly Creatures" meets "Heathers."

Taylor-Joy and Cooke play two spoiled and bored teenagers who hire a local, two-bit drug dealer (Yelchin) as a triggerman when they agree to kill off Taylor-Joy's overly strict stepfather (played by WACO's Paul Sparks).

After earning mostly strong reviews at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival, "Thoroughbreds" is getting a theatrical release next week on March 9th.

synopsis:
Childhood friends Lily and Amanda reconnect in suburban Connecticut after years of growing apart. Lily has turned into a polished, upper-class teenager, with a fancy boarding school on her transcript and a coveted internship on her resume; Amanda has developed a sharp wit and her own particular attitude, but all in the process of becoming a social outcast. Though they initially seem completely at odds, the pair bond over Lily's contempt for her oppressive stepfather, Mark, and as their friendship grows, they begin to bring out one another's most destructive tendencies. Their ambitions lead them to hire a local hustler, Tim, and take matters into their own hands to set their lives straight.
