To the victor go the spoils!

WB has released a brand-new extended spot for director Steven Spielberg's highly anticipated big-screen adaptation of Ernest Cline's best-selling sci-fi adventure novel "Ready Player One."

The film, starring Tye Sheridan (X-Men: Apocalypse), Olivia Cooke (Me and Earl and the Dying Girl), and Ben Mendelsohn (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), takes place in a dystopian future where most of the human population are playing a massive virtual reality game called the OASIS.

Inside this VR world, which is largely filled with pop culture references from the '80s, '90s and so on, players have a chance to use their skills and talents to find "three hidden keys to three magic gates." It's a long and difficult treasure hunt for which the top prize is the OASIS, itself.

Sheridan plays a young video gamer who not only goes up against skilled operatives, but also leads an underground movement to save the OASIS from a greedy corporate executive (played by Mendelsohn).

"Ready Player One" is marking Spielberg's welcomed return to the sci-fi genre and will be released theatrically on March 30th.

The film is set in 2045, with the world on the brink of chaos and collapse. But the people have found salvation in the OASIS, an expansive virtual reality universe created by the brilliant and eccentric James Halliday (Mark Rylance). When Halliday dies, he leaves his immense fortune to the first person to find a digital Easter egg he has hidden somewhere in the OASIS, sparking a contest that grips the entire world. When an unlikely young hero named Wade Watts (Tye Sheridan) decides to join the contest, he is hurled into a breakneck, reality-bending treasure hunt through a fantastical universe of mystery, discovery and danger.
