Check out the international trailer for the upcoming 19th-century-set Spanish horror fantasy film "Errementari: The Blacksmith and the Devil," which is produced by cult genre filmmaker Alex de la Iglesia (Witching and Bitching, The Last Circus) and marks the promising feature debut of Spanish writer-director Paul Urkijo Alijo.

Set in the mid-1800s, the Spanish-language thriller tells the spooky fantasy tale of a mysterious blacksmith who dwells deep in the Spanish forest and is believed by locals to be the incarnation of the Devil.

Starring Kandido Uranga, Uma Bracaglia, Eneko Sagardoy, and Ramon Agirre, "Errementari" will be released in Spain this week on March 2nd. As of yet, the film doesn't have an official U.S. distributor or a U.S. release date.

synopsis:
It's been 10 years since the first Carlist War of 1833. In a small town in Alava, Spain, a government commissioner, named Alfredo Ortiz, investigates an event that takes him to a sinister forge deep in the forest, where a dangerous and lonely blacksmith lives, known as Patxi. The villagers in the area tell dark stories about him related to robberies, murders and demonic pacts. Until, by chance, an orphan girl named Usue manages to sneak into the mysterious workshop, uncovering the terrible truth behind Patxi the Blacksmith.
